Situation The Herzo Werke utility supplies the town of Herzogenaurach and the surrounding area via an extensive 20-kV and 400-V system. A large commercial and industrial park is currently in the making in the northern part of the supply area.
Problem The historically grown MV network could not provide the service security required by the new load center in the north of this area. It was therefore necessary to improve the network structure and strengthen the power connection to the 110-kV system.
Solution We planned the structuring of the entire 20-kV system in several project stages with a new 20-kV load-center substation. Substation "Nord" was connected directly to the 110/20-kV transformer substation and an integrated and expandable protection concept applied to the 20-kV municipal system. This increased the service security and improved system operations. The newly erected substation "Nord" boasts state-of-the-art protective relaying and control and instrumentation technology, thus allowing direct monitoring and control of all functions from the central control room.
Service We advise the Herzo Werke directly if any problems arise, with our technical competence and experience and problem-oriented calculations within a model of the overall system.
Customer feedback All projects that we have executed together with IB Powerise Consult have produced results of a high professional quality. The information so competently provided by Dr. Nietsch has provided us with insights beyond the usual experience of a small distribution network supplier.
